WYO Bullfighter Makes National Finals

by Chuck Coon

The top professional bull riders this year have voted to return Dusty Tuckness for his second consecutive run at helping protect them at the national finals. The Meeteetse, WY bull fighter felt he had a good chance to make it back to Vegas and his Wyoming partners were even more positive.

While signing autographs for fans in Omaha last month, bull riders Kanin Asay & Bobby Welsh both said they weren’t certain who’d make up the full complement of bullfighters at the 2010 WNFR in Las Vegas but they knew Dusty would be one of them.

Tuckness spoke with us yesterday. He said his winter rodeo season at the big events in Houston, Fort Worth and a few other Texas stops gave him over 100 performances in arenas where all of the top bull riders were entered:

Dusty will be working the “Tribute to Chris LeDoux” rodeo, Nov. 6 in Casper. He is without question one of the most fearless bullfighters in recent history.
